Our Mission Statement:
Foster, promote and engage in aviation education, particularly as it relates to women in aviation;
Cultivate, foster and promote interest and understanding among the public in the accomplishments and contributions of women to the aviation industry;
Promote, encourage and facilitate membership in Women in Aviation International and this Chapter;
Support and promote the mission, vision, goals and objectives of Women in Aviation International.
A little more about us. . .
The Central Florida Chapter of Women in Aviation, International (WAI) was chartered in the first quarter of 2006 by a group of women from the Greater Orlando area who had a love of aviation and wished to see horizons for women expand in aviation and other related industries.
While some of us work for airports and companies that support aviation directly, others participate because of their “after hours” interest in aviation. Still others are involved because they recognize the impact that the aviation industry has on the economic growth of Central Florida and want to be involved in that success.
