Our Mission Statement:
Foster, promote and engage in aviation education, particularly as it relates to women in aviation;
Cultivate, foster and promote interest and understanding among the public in the accomplishments and contributions of women to the aviation industry;
Promote, encourage and facilitate membership in Women in Aviation International and this Chapter;
Support and promote the mission, vision, goals and objectives of Women in Aviation International.
Upcoming Events
The Women in Aviation, Central Florida Chapter (WAI-CFL) is dedicated to bringing together female aviation professionals and students while providing resources and support to help them succeed in the aviation industry. Our Chapter holds monthly meetings and strives to schedule a quarterly speaker on a topic related to aviation or women’s achievements and motivation.
Our members come from diverse backgrounds in the industry, ranging from commercial airline pilots to military aviators, aircraft maintenance technicians, air traffic controllers, and flight attendants. Members and non-members are welcome to all events unless otherwise noted. We also provide educational resources and host seminars to foster an environment of professional growth and development within the aviation industry.

Join us at the Orlando Executive Airport on March 26th from 6-8 PM for an unforgettable evening with your 2026 Board Members and Aerospace Engineer at Blue Origin, Perla Lattore-Suarez.
Latorre-Suarez is an aerospace engineer with a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Central Florida. As a graduate student, her research focused on materials science for space components, collaborating with organizations such as NASA Langley Research Center, the German Aerospace Center and Argonne National Laboratory. She currently works with the U.S. Navy, specializing in modeling and simulation for warfighter training. As part of her role, she is also completing a rotation with Blue Origin, where she supports the Lunar Mission Operations Training Team.
