The Women in Aviation, Central Florida Chapter (WAI-CFL) is dedicated to bringing together female aviation professionals and students while providing resources and support to help them succeed in the aviation industry. Our Chapter holds monthly meetings and strives to schedule a quarterly speaker on a topic related to aviation or women’s achievements and motivation.
Our members come from diverse backgrounds in the industry, ranging from commercial airline pilots to military aviators, aircraft maintenance technicians, air traffic controllers, and flight attendants. Members and non-members are welcome to all events unless otherwise noted. We also provide educational resources and host seminars to foster an environment of professional growth and development within the aviation industry.

In our upcoming chapter meeting, we are thrilled to present a unique opportunity for our members to engage with the inspiring journeys of our esteemed Ilia Quinones Memorial Scholarship Winners. Each recipient will share their personal experiences from the 2024 WAI Conference, offering us a glimpse into the enriching knowledge and connections they've gained. We are proud to feature Layla D. Zidal, Jocelyn Bew, Rebecca Ebersold, Jaimie Hauser, and Erika Collins, whose stories are sure to ignite our collective passion for aviation.
Additionally, we are going over our exciting excursion planned for April 26th (Location TBD). We'll be visiting one of the innovative DroneUp facilities, where we'll not only explore cutting-edge technology but also witness a live demonstration. This experience promises to expand our understanding of the rapidly evolving world of drone operations. Mark your calendars for an informative and exhilarating gathering!
